So it's been a while

A little bit has happened since our last post. We went to Showa Kenin Park and it's absolutely beautiful there. It's huge, crawling with people and spiders, but beautiful. It's so nice to be able to "get out" of the city. We didn't get to see all of it while we were there, but it won't be our last trip. It was nice walking in trees, and alongside a small lake and sitting in the grass. It actually was nice to not understand the conversations going on around us, because it starts to feel like we're in our own world.

We adopted a bunny, we named him Elvis..it fits his personality well. We let him roam around his pen and keep his cage open. We'd let him have reign of the house, but he likes to chew wires, and we don't want to wake up to a dead bunny..so pen it is, though when we have a watchful eye on him, we let him run loose. He is the cutest thing.

Our carrot plants are sprouting :) So exciting. The compost has attracted some fruit flies, so we'll have to create a trap soon.

We got some of the supplies to make our own laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, soap, fabric softener, and house hold cleaners.

We found a resale shop between Joyful Honda and the base, it is quite large and the items are great. They'll actually clean items, and fix them before putting them on the floor. The prices are pretty cheap too, which is a huge plus!

Travis is on Exercise right now, so he's been working 12 hour days and will be until Thursday. It's only a week, but it makes this a very lonely week.

Our stuff should be in Japan on the 9th, and should be to our house before the 23rd. I can't wait to unpack everything, and make this place our home.
The weather is still nice out, averaging 65-70 degrees every day. The leaves are just starting to change colors, and I"m hoping soon we can make a trip out towards the mountains to get a good view of all of them.
