Yesterday we went looking for a farmers market which we're told, has some produce for pretty cheap. Since fresh local grown tomatoes on base go for about $6/lb we figured we'd give it a shot. Well, we didn't find it, but we did find a little hardware/diy store called D2. They had plants outside so we stopped and looked around. We ended up buying two strawberry plants, some peas, beans, and a blueberry plant, along with some seeds for leafy greens. It made our day, and as soon as we got home, we planted them and set everything up on the balcony. We'll be going back, as soon as we get the ones we have thriving. Hopefully we'll get some tomato plants, along with some other veggies.
